Die Herstellung der runden kegelförmigen Strohhüte ist in Vietnam sehr wichtig. Praktisch jede Frau trägt einen derartigen Hut, um ihren Kopf vor der Sonne oder auch vor dem Regen zu schützen. Eine Hutmacherin hat soeben das Gerüst des Hutes hergestellt, um dann im nächsten Schritt das Stroh hinein zu flechten.

The production of the round cone-shaped straw hats is very important in Vietnam. Practically every woman wears such a hat to shelter her head both against the sun and the rain. A female hatter has just finished the framework of a hat. In the next step she will weave in the straw.
