Eine Bootsfrau sitzt auf dem Bug ihres Schiffes und beobachtet in Ruhe das Treiben auf dem schwimmenden Markt im Mekongdelta in Südvietnam. Auf diesem Markt findet man kleine und größere Boote. Die kleinen Boote sind vor allem für kürzere Fahrten, als schwimmender Marktstand oder auch für den Transport zum anderen Ufer geeignet. Die größeren Boote dienen den Familien als Unterkunft und als Warenlager.

The small boats are primarily used for short trips, as a swimming market or for a transport from one riverside to the other. The larger boats are also used as a family house and as a ware-house.
