Auf dem schwimmenden Markt im Mekong-Delta sind viele kleinere und größere Schiffe zu sehen. Es gibt einen sehr regen Austausch von frischen Waren, insbesondere von Gemüse und Obst. Von Touristen ist im Gegensatz zu Thailand hier nicht viel zu sehen. Natürlich wollen die Menschen hier auch ihren Spaß haben und zwischendurch einen kleinen Schwatz halten oder auch ein wenig miteinander flirten. Hier haben sich ein junger Mann und eine junge Frau getroffen, um miteinander über Bootsgrenzen hinweg zu kommunizieren. Auch der Fotograf stört hier nicht; im Gegenteil die Menschen freuen sich über das Interesse des fremden Beobachters.

In the swimming market of the Mekong delta many small and large boats can be seen. There is also a very active exchange of fresh goods like vegetables or fruits. In contrast to Thailand there are not many tourist coming to this area. The markets are also social places where people have a small talk or a flirt. A young man and woman have met to communicate across their boats. The photographer does not disturb them. On the contrary the people have fun and enjoy the interest of the foreign observer.
