In Zentral- und Südvietnam gab es zwischen dem 4. und 13. Jahrhundert das mächtige Königreich der Cham. Diese Kultur basiert auf dem Hinduismus und ist daher von indischen Vorbildern geprägt. Eine Tempelanlage der Cham-Kultur aus dem 13. Jahrhundert befindet sich auf einem kleinen Hügel in Po Klong Garai, südlich des Badeortes Nha Trang. Der Weg zum Tempel führt über eine Steintreppe den Hügel hinauf. Man betritt den Bezirk durch einen Toreingang.

Between the 4th and the 13th century a powerful kingdom of the Cham people existed in Central and South Vietnam. The religion of this culture was based on Hinduism and is strongly influenced by Indian ideals. A temple district of the Cham culture from the 13th century is located on a small hill in Po Klong Garai, south of the popular bath Nha Trang. The trail to the temple area is following a staircase up the hill. The entrance to the temple district is through a stone arch.
