Serie Collagen zum Thema "Augen zu und durch".

Um vor etwas die Augen zu schliessen, um etwas nicht sehen zu wollen, muss zumindest eine Ahnung vorhanden sein, vor was wir uns verschliessen. Dieses Wissen alleine schockiert und bedroht uns hinter unseren Masken, engt uns ein und lässt den Atem stocken. Eine Auseinandersetzung zu dem Thema "Augen zu und durch". Illustration ist die Reaktion auf ein Thema oder einen Textinhalt. Das Bild nimmt Bezug auf den Text, beziehungsweise auf das Thema, vertieft dessen Aussage und eröffnet einen neuen Blickwinkel. Im Gegenzug erhält das Bild, je nach Kontext, in dem es erscheint, eine andere Aussage. Somit stehen Bild und Text im gegenseitigen Austausch und greifen ineinander über. Um auf dieses Zusammenspiel einzugehen, es auszuloten und gezielt zu nutzen, steht mir als Illustratorin ein grosser Handlungsspielraum zur Verfügung. Denn in der Welt der Illustration gibt es kein möglich oder unmöglich. In ihr überlagern sich Wirklichkeit und Phantasie. Leblose Gegenstände beginnen zu atmen, wundersame Kreaturen und Wesen gedeihen. Perspektiven verzerren sich, Oben wird zu Unten, Innen dreht sich nach Aussen. In dieser Welt leben kleine Riesen und grosse Zwerge. Hier ist Alice im Wunderland zu hause. Gerade durch diese Vielfalt der Möglichkeiten erhält die Illustration eine Sprache, die unserer Realität und Wahrnehmung sehr nahe steht.


Illustration is the response to a topic or a text. The picture refers to the text as well as the theme, deepens the statement and opens a new view. The picture gets another meaning according to the context in which it appears. Picture and text are in a mutual exchange and overlap each other. To get into this interplay, to use it purposefully, as an illustrator I have a lot of possibilities. In the world of illustration there are no impossibilities, reality and fantasy overlay each other. Lifeless objects begin to breathe, strange creatures and beings thrive, perspectives become distorted, up changes to down, in turns out. In this world there are small giants and giant dwarfs. Alice in Wonderland ist at home here. Through this great variety of possibilities illustration acquires a language which is very close to our reality and perception.
